"The world is one big data problem."

-Andrew McAfee, Co-director of the MIT initiative on the Digital Economy

The Science course is run by Pembroke College, University of Oxford. Its focus is how to use data to solve big, scientific problems that the world is facing and can be addressed by using data.

The seminar series for this course is themed around this very question. The full programme is still to be confirmed, but questions such as how to measure diffusion co-efficients using NMR/MRI, optimisation, how to predict species response to climate change and the pattern of emerging climate change will be explored.

Pupils on all six Year 12 strands participate in Access Week at the end of the intensive course, allowing for space and time to be dedicated to more specific areas of study led by our team of tutors.
