The NWCLC was set up in 2019 at Priestley College, Warrington (who are a member of the The Challenge Academy Trust or TCAT). The centre works to strengthen the position of Modern Foreign Languages in secondary schools and sixth form colleges in the North-West of England through working with the University of Oxford and other institutions.
