The Social Science programme is run by academics from Pembroke College, University of Oxford.
It is aimed at pupils who are currently studying, or are interested in studying, at least one of the following subjects: Economics, Human Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Law, Social & Public Policy.
“Organised into a specially designed Course Reader, these readings will highlight the increasing importance of the social sciences as a group of disciplines: Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Law and Social Policy. The overall theme is inequality. Inequality comes in many forms and a variety of social and public policies. Here, we shall touch on UK and global social mobility, power distribution, human rights and legal reform issues. The seminars will encourage debate on practical approaches and theoretical frameworks for creating a more equitable society.” (Dr Peter Claus)
We welcome applications from Year 12 pupils from any OxNet Hub or Link school in West London or the North West of England.
